That´s my Family:
Ulrike, Bernhard (Bernie) and the "kids" left to right, Daniel,
Miriam und Christian.
Like in every year we have collected some events of the year including some fotos. Why don´t you have a look at it? The fotos are not following any systematic scheme, we just liked them. Some of them are not even pure Family pictures!!
Let me start with the most important issues:
All of us are doing well - except for the routine damages I apply to
my poor bones regularly by knocking down my mountainbike. Let´s hope
it stays like that !
Ulrike is very happy in her environment in our beautiful little village
at the Lake. She still works part time in a social job and enjoys that
very much. What she really doesn´t like is that I am spending too
much time doing my hobbies. Well, I´m afraid, I have to agree to
that, I promise to improve and knock my computer off right away !!
That´s me. There haven´t been any drastical changes in
the past year. I am stil travelling a lot bur my situation has improved
compared to the xears before. Sometimes I even have time for my lovely
Ulrike and my hobbies.
Daniel
has successfully finished his University studies with a Masters Degree
in political science, his certificate is called "Diplom Staatswissenschaftler
(univ)" in German. After graduation he visited a training course for his
future job in the German Air Force in Karlsruhe. Since he is the only family
member born in Munich he has to visit the Oktoberfest wearing traditional
Bavarian outfit (refr to foto above left).
Miriam is still in college in Stuttgart studying social science but
the graduation is coming soon. She is going to prepare her final study
works fighting Microsoft Word and her crashing Macintosh. She likes Stuttgart
and will most likely stay there after graduation.
Christian has finished his military service in the German Navy in April.
After jobbing during summer he now started studying Philosophy at the University
of Tübingen. Tübingen is famous for his Philosophers (e.g.
Hegel) who lived there. Besides it´s a real pretty city.
During the winter we went skiing as usual in Austria and Switherland
. This is Christian in Davos.
In April I spent a couple of days in Rom - a real dream city.

Nice atmosphere
at Piazza Navona
Summer vacation in Cesenatico at the Adriatic. We enjoyed our times
at Bagno Blu with Bruno, Elio and Maria.
In the afternoon we used to have a small glas of excellent Italian
white wine from the barrel (Christian). I tried to improve my Italian language
by reading the local newspaper.
In July I have been to Iceland which is a real interesting and sympathic
country. This is an impression from the south coast.
My collegues and I used to stay in the Blue Lagoon until sunset (after
11 p.m. !!). The Blue Lagoon is a natural geothermal pool near Kevlavik.
Very impressing.
Family visit in my hometown Westerburg.
In August I undertook my annual mountainbike trip together with my
collegue Claus-Dieter. This time we went from Lugano (Switzerland) to La
Spezia (Italy), you can find more nice fotos from that trip in a separate
page (--> klick here).
A real nice event as every year: The opera festival in Bregenz/Austria.
This time the perfomance has been "Una Maschera" (I´m not sure whether
I translated that right!!) from Verdi.
This view of the stage on the lake has been made 15 min prior to start
of the performance - it has been very impressing.
December: As every year we visited Miriam and the famous Stuttgart
Christmas Fair ("Weihnachtsmarkt").
