Homepage of the Heinz Family - Archive 2003

This has been our homepage 2004 with a summary of events from 2003.

That´s the Heinz Family:

Concerning Ulrike and myself there are actually no real news. Everything is fine and we are doing well.  Ulrike still works for the German Red Cross Organization and takes care of old people. I am still working in the same company (Dornier , a subsidiary of the EADS) in the same position.

Our family has grown this year: Isabel, Daniel´s wife joined us.

from left to right.: Miriam, Isabel, Daniel (Danny), Christian

Event of the year has been the wedding of our son Daniel on Sep 6th 2003. Daniel has known Isabel since they went to school together ! Under the Main Menu "Familie" there are some 7 MB of photos of the various parties including the wedding ceremony and the big wedding party.
Isabel is working in the tourist office in Immenstaad and Daniel, being 1st Lieutenant of the German Air Force, works as Operations Officer in Lechfeld in Communications.

Miriam has got herself a new job at the Chiildren´s Center St. Joseph in Stuttgart(-->klick).  There she
cares for families and young people who are in social trouble.

Christian is still going to the Tübingen University studying Philosophy. He is fighting the "Graecum" ( that´s the ancient Greek Language) real hard but enjoys student´s life in Tübingen.

Photos of Events of the year 2003:

As usual I have collected some info on past events of the year here. My travels have moved info into a separate page, please enter main menu "Reisen(Travel)" to access that.  This year I have created a new page about our beautiful hometown Immenstaad at the Lake of Constance (also available in English). The typical family events are now under a separate menu "Familie"(sorry, German only, but you may still enjoy some of the shots).

Skiing season  2002/2003 started fairly late in the second half of January because of poor snow conditions, but finally it turned to be an excellent season. We still like to remember our trips to Schruns together with Miriam, Silvie, Christian, Jürgen, Sven and Randy. Above you see some nice shots taken in St. Anton End of March - an extremely expensive but still beautiful place.

As every year we made a couple of trips to Westerburg (situated between Frankfort and Cologne) ,   where  my mother and aunt are living.

_

In June we spent our leave at the Adriatic in Italy and enjoyed the nice beaches and Italian food.

_

Taking a walk in the evening in the harbour area of Cesenatico - isn´t that pretty?

_

My annual bike trip together with my oldest son Daniel - instead of going south crossing the alps we went north into the area called " Swebian Alps" ( in German: Schwäbische Alp").

As in the past years I have been a good customer for Airlines - I took this photo from my Hotel Room in Cairo in the evening. More about my travels can be found under "Reisen(Travel)".

July 2003: A one day trip to Chiavenna (Italy) just for shopping, going for walk,  eating the excelent Italian Food.....

Chiavenna is about the same distance from Immenstaad as Stuttgart or Munich - it just takes a little longer to cross a mountain pass than to do 230 on our freeways (dont´get scared, that´s km/hour).

Sep 6th: Wedding oif the year, our son Daniel and Isabel.

Some more cultural events worth mentioning: King Ludwig Festival in Füssen, a Xmas present of our kids, the Simple Minds live concert at the castle of Hohentwiel, Phantom of the Opera in Stuttgart and last but not least the Santana Open Air in Lindau (appr. 30 km from Immenstaad).

Ok folks, that´s it for 2003. I hope you enjoyed my photos.
Best wishes once again  for 2004.
Ulrike, Bernhard "Bernie", Daniel plus Isabel , Miriam und Christian
