For those of you who know us: This is our electronic Christmas Letter for 2007

We are doing well; 2007 has brought 2 major events to our family: The birth of our granddaughter Sophia and the marriage of Miriam and Martin in Vancouver, Canada. I assume I do not need many more words here. There are some nice photoes in my Internet pages if you are interested, just click the link at the end of this page.

January 2007: We call that the 5th season of the year: Carnival




No winter 2006/2007. Temperatures of some 60F and no snow - green meadows and flowers instead.


Together with friends heading one of the many carnival events. . .


Born 15 Feb 2007: Our granddaughter  Sophia


Sophia was born during a carnival party -  additional reasons to celebrate


February 2007: South Wales in England. During the very few hours of free time of my many business trips I discovered some great places in the country.


Sophia 4 weeks old.


April 2007: Lisboa / Portugal


Sophia 3 Month old.


Mai 2007: Summer at the lake 


Scheveningen / Holland 


Our swans try to trick out nature every year in a real race; who makes it first: the growing lake or the kids. This time the kids made it but a cold air blizzard end of May/ beginning of June reduced the number of survivers to 3.


June 2007: Corpus Christi festival at the lake in Immenstaad

18. June 2007:  Miriam and Martin married in Vancouver / Kanada


Mid of  June 2007: Lillehammer / Norway  (Olympic City 1994)


Fascinating: It never gets dark during June because Lillehammer is located close to the Polar Circle far north. This picture has been taken 8 min before midnight.


In the mountains of Norway / Kvietfiell, a famous skiing resort.


7. Juli 2007: Christening of Sophia


2nd half of July 2007: USA roundtrip in South west, LA, Las Vegas, Death Valley,  Grand Canyon and many more


August 2007: My Family in Westerburg

11 August 2007: Weding celebration of Miriam and Martin


September 2007: One of the many Oktoberfest-Parties we had


November 2007: They closed down our local Airport Friedrichshafen for our Model jet planes.  This is the world champion for scale jets Thomas Gleißner flying very low level. Mice and Rats are in great danger !!!


November und Dezember 2007: This winter has been extremely nice for skiers, we started skiing already mid November.

19 und 21. Dezember: Skiing again, perfect snow, perfect sun, no breaking bones - just great
